Kids Deserve Dads

Accessibility

Every dad gets in the door.

We build this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The men we serve often reach us at the lowest point of their lives, sometimes on an old phone, sometimes with a disability, always tired. The site has to work for all of them.

What that looks like here: a skip-to-content link, keyboard-operable menus and dialogs (including the state advocacy map), focus indicators on interactive elements, form labels and error messages that screen readers announce, alt text on meaningful images, and color contrast checked against the standard.

Known limitations we are working on: some decorative display type uses stylized capitals, and downloadable worksheets are formatted for print first. If either blocks you, tell us and we will get you the content another way.

If anything on this site is in your way, contact zac@kidsdeservedads.org or text 605.389.3369. A human reads it, and fixes ship fast.
